Mushroom in the Rain Bugaloo
By: Jonathan Calderon

I am little ant and I'm here to say
How I was caught in the rain one day.
I looked for some shelter and what did I find
Some shelter under a mushroom not a pine.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

As I was waiting for the rain to go away,
Along came a butterfly right my way.
He asked me if I would make some room
I thought it just too much for the 'shroom.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

Not a minute later along came a mouse,
He said he got drenched had to leave his house.
Asked if we'd make room to help a fellow out
We both squeezed together and gave a little shout.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

Huddled close together like peas in a pod.
Along came a sparrow all drenched to the bod,
Please let me in 'cuz I can't fly a mile.
With a huff and puff they made a great pile.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

No later had we settled when along came a hare.
He looked like he'd been running from a bear.
He cried, "Save me or I parish by the big bad fox."
We all huddled around him like a great big box.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

Not a minute later, along came the fox
Sniffing under each and all the rocks.
Asked us if we saw that fuzzy wuzzy hare.
We each just gave him an ugly stare.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

As the clouds cleared and Mr. Sky appeared
We all noticed something wild and weird.
Moving out from under we suddenly froze,
'Cuz under the rain we discovered a mushroom grows.

Rain drops, thunderstorms, showers too.
Doing the rainy weather bugaloo.

Mushroom in the Rain
(Football Goodbye)
by H. Nolan

Oh the mushroom, when it's raining
Grows larger every time
Little ant, butterfly
Took their shelter from the rain
Tiny mouse, little sparrow
Towards the mushroom, they did go
Came a rabbit who was running
He was running from the fox
Fox came by, looked around
Only smelled him, couldn't see
Then the frog came, he was laughing
Told them how the mushroom grows
They grow larger in the rain
So the story ends that way
